A unique site on the edge of Dromore and at the entrance to Dromore Park.  It was originally a site for one dwelling but with well considered design, and the introduction of a unique gatelodge & park entrance feature,  the overall concept was understood, and accepted, by Planning.  They were convinced of the reasoning behind the concept, and of the development’s positive contribution to the townscape character of the context.  Overall the proposals were a form of‘townscape enhancement’, being beneficial to the urban environment and the wider context, including Dromore Park.  The design worked successfully on a number of levels in terms of building-line constraints, contextual parameters, increased no. of dwelling units, landscape & townscape features etc., to achieve a distinct solution for the site and enhancement of the Park entrance, with the gatelodge feature / landmark building.
